The foam products we manufacture at Armstrong Brands are 100% recyclable and are re-used to make new foam products every day.

Armstrong Brands takes recycling seriously and continues to invest in the most current recycling technologies. Investing in new recycling technology not only makes good business sense, it is also our way of helping ensure that our environment and our community are kept clean and safe.

We’re constantly helping our customers and our community by collecting scrap foam for recycling. In fact, we may even be able to pick up and recycle spent foam from your location.

Above are some photos of our ongoing recycling efforts. The right photos shows used/spent EPS Foam trays ready to be recycled. The left photo shows densified/compacted EPS Foam ready to be shipped off to a recycling center where it is melted down for re-use in plastic decking boards and picture frames. The foam is densified simply to compact the EPS Foam and remove the air. One Tractor trailer of EPS Foam trays (2,000 Lbs) was compacted to produce one pallet of densified blocks (2,000 Lbs).

The densification process is 1 of 2 different ways we recycle EPS. The other way we recycle is by shredding EPS parts/rejects/scrap and then mixing in a controlled percentage with virgin material to be re-molded into finished product.
